Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 BQ Aquaris E10

Characteristics:
Dimensions: 243.5 x 165 x 9 millimeters
Weight: 550 grams
Screen: 10.1 inches IPS Full HD (1920 x 1080)
Processor: MediaTek octacore Cortex A7 @ 1.7 GHz
RAM: 2 Gb
OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
Storage: 16 GB expandable by microSD card
Chambers: Rear 8 megapixels and 5 megapixel front
Battery: 8680 mAh

Before continuing, make sure the tablet is off.

Step 2 Back cover

Hold the screen with the suction cup. Simultaneously, with the opening tool, separate the lid, making lever movements.

Step 3

Continue through the entire contour to completely separate the back cover.

Step 4 screen

Unplug and detach the touch screen data flex.

Step 5

Also disconnect the data flex from the LCD display.

Step 6

In this model the screen is fully glued with thermal adhesive, instead of the typical double-sided adhesive. This makes it very difficult to take off.

We will use the Hot Glass, our thermal blanket suitable for microwaves (see instructions).

The hot air nozzle of the welding station can also be used.

Take off the screen without breaking it is almost impossible, we need so much heat that the glass will probably break. However, with excess heat, we can melt the plastic frame.

It is preferable to break the screen, taking into account that it will be replaced, which will damage the frame or other parts of the tablet.

Step 7

Although the glass broke when heat was applied, it is still very difficult to take off the screen.

Use a metal tool to remove the broken screen and leftover crystals from the frame.

Apply heat repeatedly while pulling the screen with the suction cup until it is able to detach.

Step 8

Finally, separate the screen from the plastic chassis and remove all traces of glass or glue to install the new screen.
