Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7

ALCATEL ONETOUCH PIXI 7 tablet features:

  • 7-inch and 960 x 540 screen, QHD, TFT
  • Three 1.2GHz cores
  • 2840 mAh, up to 4 hours of browsing time
  • VGA front camera and 2.0 megapixel rear camera
  • Android 4.4 KitKat

Before starting, make sure the tablet is off.

Step 2 Back cover

Remove the back cover with the plastic opening tool, thus avoiding scratches or damage to the equipment.

Step 3

The battery is attached to the back cover and connected to the motherboard.

Step 4

Disconnect the battery from the motherboard and detach the back cover.

Step 5 Touch screen and display

Disconnect the data flex from the touch screen, by pulling the connector tab and pulling gently.

Step 6

Remove the adhesive tape that covers the connector of the display data flex.

Disconnect the flex, just as you disconnected the touch screen.

Step 7 Front camera

Unplug the front camera.

Step 8 Base plate screws

Remove the 9 Phillips screws that hold the motherboard.

Step 9 Motherboard

Take off the speaker.

Unsolder the speaker terminals on the motherboard, applying heat to the tin with the soldering iron while simultaneously pulling the cable gently.

Step 10

Separate the base plate by gently prying with the opening tool.

Step 11

Finally, disconnect the rear camera and remove it.
