Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Back cover

Before starting make sure that the mobile is off.

Remove the back cover using the opening tool, this will avoid scratching the case.

Step 2 Battery

Remove the battery, pulling from the bottom.

Step 3 SIM and microSD cards

Remove the SIM card (s) and the micro SD card.

Step 4 Intermediate housing

Remove the 11 Phillips screws that hold the middle housing, including the one hidden behind the sticker with the letters "QT" (marked in blue).

Step 5

Disassemble the intermediate housing (frame included) with the opening tool.

Step 6 Flex volume buttons

Unplug the flex from the motherboard, by pulling on the tab of the connector and gently pulling on the cable.

Step 7

Peel off the chassis flex with the metal spatula.
