Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Remove back casing

We start by removing the back cover. To do this, we will slide a flat tool along the contour between it and the frame.

Step 2 Remove battery

We will simply leverage the hole in the bottom to disengage it. This step can also be done directly with your hands.

Step 3 Remove intermediate housing

Remove the twelve Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the casing and disengage it.

Step 4 Disconnect components

We take off the flex of side push buttons and disconnect the components. The first one that we disconnect is the camera which is stuck to the motherboard, so it is not necessary to disconnect it unless it is going to change this or the motherboard.

Step 5 Removing the motherboard

We remove the two Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the motherboard and lift it to disconnect the coaxial cable and thus be able to move it away.

Step 6 Touch screen

We heat the screen at about 70º for about two minutes.

With the hot screen, we introduce a flat tool between it and the frame and sliding it around the contour, we will be able to detach it.

In order to be able to slide the flex of the screen through the chassis, we will have to remove the rubber from the proximity sensor.
