Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 housing

The first step, as always, take out the casing. We will use a plastic tool to avoid scratching the phone.

Step 2 Battery

We will remove the battery by prying it with an opening tool.

Step 3 Sim and microSD cards

We must not forget to remove the SIM and SD cards before proceeding to disassemble.

Step 4 Flex fingerprint sensor

We remove the cover that covers the flex fingerprint sensor. We will disconnect it so as not to break it when the screen is taken out.

Step 5

In the next step we will need to heat the glass to soften the glue and thus be able to remove the screen more easily.

Below we will see two ways to perform this step.

Step 6 Heat screen

We will use a high thermal retention blanket (HOT GLASS) to heat the glass.

Insert the HOT GLASS in the microwave for the time specified in the instructions.

To heat it evenly, it is necessary to interrupt the microwave every 30 seconds to distribute heat throughout the HOT GLASS with your hands.

The gun emits VERY hot air, use with caution.

We recommend the use at minimum power and short bursts, since excess heat can damage the equipment.

Warm the screen to soften the glue and be able to easily peel it off.

Step 7 Touch screen

Once we heat the screen, we will take off with the pick. If necessary, it will be heated again to continue taking off.

We must not separate the screen at all since it is still connected to the board.

Step 8 Touch screen flex

By separating the screen a little, we can see the flex. We will use a tool to disconnect it before we finish separating the screen.

Step 9 Metallic chassis

Once we have separated the screen, we have access to a lot of Phillips screws. Remove the screws and take off the flexes of the buttons at the bottom.

We can now separate the chassis from the frame.

Step 10 Base plate screws

While a bug with the face of few friends holding our mobile phone, we take the opportunity to show you where the screws are!

Step 11 Bottom plate

Remove the screws that hold the bottom plate. We disconnect the flex from the motherboard and unplug the antenna cables.

Helping us with a tool, we will leverage to remove the plate.

Step 12 Motherboard

Now, if we have removed the screw that holds the plate, we can remove it and place it next to the photo. :)

Step 13 Audio connector

We take off the flex of the housing and we can remove the connector.
