We will start by removing the back cover. To do this, we will use a plastic opening tool, which we will insert between the frame and the housing to release the notches that hold it.

Step 2 Remove battery and cards

In this step, we remove the battery and the SIM and SD cards.

Step 3

In this step we remove the ten Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the intermediate housing to the chassis and then remove it.

To remove the screen, which is what we will do in the next step, we will disconnect the flex from it, removing the lid that we showed in the images.

Before proceeding, we will heat the screen for about half a minute at about 60 degrees centigrade to soften the adhesive.

Step 4 Take off screen

With the hot screen, we will slide a prong between it and the frame to remove the adhesive that holds it.

Step 5 Remove intermediate housing

To remove the intermediate housing, we will introduce an opening tool between it and the chassis. By making lever movements, we can release the notches that hold them.

Step 6 Removing the motherboard

To remove the motherboard, first disconnect the flex from the headset and the audio connector and then the front camera.

Now we can undo the base plate of the chassis. By gently prying, we will unhook it.

Step 7 Motherboard

To finish, we can only remove the rear camera that is still connected to the motherboard.
