Step 2 Back cover

Remove the back cover. Using a plastic opening tool will prevent scratches.

Step 3 Battery

Remove the battery by pulling on the bottom.

Step 4 SIM and SD cards

Remove the SIM and SD cards.

Step 5 Intermediate housing

Remove the 11 Phillips screws that hold the middle housing.

Step 6

Disassemble the intermediate housing with the opening tool.

Step 7 Side keys

The volume and ignition keys are not attached, so that when separating the intermediate casing, they will simply come off.

Step 8 Motherboard components

Remove the adhesive covering the connectors on the motherboard.

Step 9 Vibrator and microphone

Remove the microphone and the vibrator from the intermediate housing.

Step 10 Touch screen flex

Take off the touch screen data flex.

Press the connector tab and unplug the flex from the motherboard.

Step 11 Flex de display

Unplug the display data flex on the motherboard, by pulling the connector tab and pulling gently.

Step 12 Volume and ignition pushbuttons

Take off the flex pushbuttons of volume and ignition.

Step 13 Motherboard

Remove the base plate, fastened by 2 Phillips screws.

Step 14

Remove the rubber band where the proximity sensor would be located. This rubber prevents the data flex from passing to the other side.

Step 15 screen

The screen is attached to the chassis by a strip of adhesive that runs all the way around. To detach it we will apply heat to soften the adhesive and to peel off easily.

Use our Hot Glass, our high thermal retention blanket. Simply insert your Hot Glass in the microwave (see instructions), and when you reach the desired temperature, apply directly to the screen.

Step 16

Insert the prong between the glass and the plastic frame.

Scroll the contour to detach the adhesive, avoiding damaging the data flex.

Step 17

Finally, separate the screen from the chassis.
