Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Back case

To begin we must apply heat to the back cover to soften the adhesive that holds it, we have used a thermal mat for about 3 minutes, at about 70º C, and then with the help of some plastic spikes we have been taking off all the edges of the casing.

Step 2 Intermediate shell

We remove the ten Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the casing, and with the help of a flat tool we will unhook it.

Step 3 We disconnect battery

We disconnect the battery to work with greater safety.

Step 4 Components

We disconnect the interconnection flex connectors and the charging flex connector, and also the coaxial ones.

Step 5 Screw

We extract the Phillips screw (PH # 00) that holds the motherboard.

Step 6 cameras

Before proceeding to remove the motherboard, we will remove the cameras, since some of them are slightly fixed to the chassis with some double-sided tape, and if we do not remove them now we can damage them.

Step 7 base plate

Once all the cameras have been removed, we can now lift and remove the base plate.

Step 8 volume buttons

We extract the cover that covers the hole where the connectors are, and taking off the contact area with tweezers, we can now remove the flex.

Step 9 power button

To remove the ignition flex before we must take off the battery, then we will remove the plastic cover that covers the hole of the button, and as in the previous step, with tweezers we will take off the area of the contacts and we will be able to extract the flex.

Step 10 Screws and bottom shield

We remove the seven Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the shield and the speaker, and we can now remove the shield.

Step 11 auxiliary board

We disconnect all the components that are connected to the auxiliary plate, we extract the tray for the cards, and once we lift the auxiliary plate we must disconnect the coaxial cable that is connected to the back.

Step 12 charging connector

We unhook the connector area, remove the adhesive from the second photo, and we can finish taking off the charging flex.

Step 13 Vibrator

To take off the vibrator we will use a metal spatula.

Step 14 Speaker

We will lift the speaker with the help of a metal spatula, and unhook the contact plate.

Step 15 Plate with antenna contacts

We disconnect the coaxial cable from the plate with antenna contacts.

Step 16 Fingerprint reader

We take off the fingerprint reader with tweezers.

Step 17 Coaxial cables and interconnection flex

We remove the two coaxial cables and take off the interconnection flex.

Step 18 Proximity sensor

We take off the proximity sensor with the help of a metal spatula.

Step 19 Fullscreen

Finally, we only have to take off the handset from the screen that we are going to replace.
