Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Motorola Moto E

Step 2 Back case

We start by removing the back cover using a plastic tool to avoid damage. By levering, we will disengage the casing from the notches that hold it.

Step 3 Screws and cards SIM and microSD

We take out the SIM and microSD cards. We will also remove the fourteen Torx screws that hold the casing. We will not remove it yet because the battery is attached to the housing and connected to the board.

Step 4 Intermediate housing

Leveraging with a plastic tool, we will unhook the notches that hold this casing.

Step 5 Disconnect battery

We disconnect the battery from the motherboard to be able to separate the housing.

Step 6 base plate screws

Remove the three Torx screws that hold the base plate.

Step 7 Flex touch screen

Remove the adhesive covering the connector and lift the tab that holds the flex to remove it.

Step 8 Flex display

The connector of this flex comes after an armor, we will have to lift the lid to access it. Then we will lift the fastening tab and we can disconnect it.

Step 9 Motherboard

Once the screws are removed and the flex cables disconnected, we can separate the plate from the chassis.
