Step 6 Disconnect components

In this step we will disconnect the flex from the touch screen and the display. To disconnect them, simply we will have to raise the tab of fixation of the connector and pull until extracting it.

Step 7 Removing the motherboard

To remove the base plate, first remove the three screws that hold it to the chassis, then simply we will have to disengage it.

Step 8 Heat screen

In this step we will heat the screen but before, so as not to forget, we will take off the flex from the digitizer of the chassis.

To heat the screen we will use the thermal mat, setting it at 70ºC for about 40 seconds should be more than enough to soften the adhesive.

Step 9 Take off screen

With the hot screen, we will introduce a prong or other flat opening tool between the screen and the frame. We will go sliding around the contour, avoiding the area where the flex is, until it takes off completely.
