Step 2 Back case

As usual, we will start by removing the back cover. Using a plastic opening tool, we will disengage the screen from the notches that hold it by making lever movements.

Step 3 Remove battery

After removing the back cover, we have access to the battery, which we will remove by using the opening tool.

Step 4 Sim and microSD cards

To remove the SIM and microSD cards we can help with the opening tool or simply by pulling them.

Step 5 Intermediate housing screws

In order to remove the intermediate casing we will have to first remove the twelve Phillips screws (PH # 00) that fasten it to the chassis.

Step 6 Unhook intermediate housing

We will start unhooking the notch that is next to the battery connectors so that we do not forget later.

Now, with the opening tool or another plastic tool, we will unhook the housing from the notches in the chassis.

Step 7 Disconnect components

In this step we first disconnect the flex from the display of the motherboard.

After removing the adhesive that covers the flex of the touch screen, we disconnect it and take it off the bottom plate.

We will also disconnect the interconnection flex and the antenna coaxial cable.

Step 8 Remove bottom plate and heat screen

In this step we remove the Phillips screw (PH # 00) that holds the bottom plate and remove it. We will also take off the flex from the touch screen.

We take this step to heat the screen, since we will proceed to take it off in the next step.

Step 9 Take off screen

With the hot screen, we will use a barb or another flat tool, which is made of plastic to avoid damage, and sliding it between the screen and the frame we will take it off.

Step 10 Touch screen

Finally, before taking off the screen of the chassis / frame, we will slide the flex of the touch screen through the hole in the chassis, taking care not to damage it.

Taking off the touch screen of the display will be easy since it is only slightly glued by the edges.
