Guide with all the necessary steps for you to change the components of the Honor 9X (STK-LX1) yourself.

Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Back case

We apply heat to the back shell, and with a fine enough tool we will open a small hole through which we will introduce one or more plastic spikes, and thus there will be less risk of scratching the shell.

Step 2 Fingerprint reader

We disconnect the flex bridge that connects the fingerprint reader and the motherboard.

Step 3 Intermediate housing

We remove the eleven Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the intermediate casing, and with a flat tool we will unhook it.

Step 4 We disconnect battery

We disconnect the battery to work with greater security.

Step 5 Rear cameras

We disconnect and remove the rear cameras.

Step 6 Components

We disconnect all the components that are connected on the motherboard.

Step 7 Base plate

We remove the Phillips screw (PH # 00) that holds the shield that covers the connector of the front camera and we will disconnect it, we will extract the card tray, and once removed we can lift the motherboard.

Step 8 Lifting motor

We remove the four Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the motor elevated, detach the contact area and we can now remove the elevator motor from the front chamber.

Step 9 Frontal camera

We remove the Phillips screw (PH # 00) that holds the shield that prevents the front camera from being removed, and once the shield is removed we can remove the front camera.

Step 10 Handset

We take off the earpiece with the help of a fine metal tool.

Step 11 Drums

We take off the battery taking care not to damage it, and we will also take off the adhesive that wrapped it.

Step 12 Keys and side buttons

We remove the cover that protects the area of the buttons, and with a fine tool we will take off the flex from the buttons and extract the keys.

Step 13 Lower intermediate housing

We extract the six Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the lower case, and with a flat tool we will unhook it.

Step 14 Speaker

We unhook the speaker.

Step 15 Bridge Flex and Coaxial Cable

We disconnect and detach the flex bridge and the coaxial cable.

Step 16 Fullscreen

And finally we will only have to unhook the auxiliary plate, and detach the vibrator from the broken screen that we need to replace.
