Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 We apply heat

To start we must apply heat to the screen to soften the adhesive that holds it. Once the heat has been applied, we can introduce a sufficiently thin tool that allows us to introduce one or a few plastic spikes, with which we are less likely to damage the screen by taking off all the edges.

Step 2 Fullscreen

Once we have taken off the screen, we must remove the adhesive that is above the shield that covers the screen connector, and we will remove the two Torx screws (T4), and we can already disconnect the flex from the screen.

Step 3 Intermediate housing

Remove the fourteen Torx screws (T4) that hold the intermediate housing, take off the proximity sensor from the top of the housing, and as we unhook the housing we must introduce the flex with the sensor through the hole.

The two Torx screws that are more or less in the middle of both sides may be easier to remove with a T3 screwdriver.

Step 4 We disconnect battery

We disconnect the battery to work with greater safety, for this we must first disconnect the connector of one of the pressure sensors.

Step 5 Components

We disconnect the two coaxial cables, the interconnection flex and the charging connector flex.

Step 6 Charge connector and auxiliary plate

We remove the two Torx screws (T4) that hold the charging connector and we can remove it. We will do the same with the auxiliary plate, remove the Torx screw (T4) and remove it.

Step 7 Speaker

We remove the speaker, and if the replacement you have purchased does not have an antenna plate, remove it from the old speaker and place it on the new speaker.
