First we will remove the rubber protector from the audio connector as it covers two of the screws in the center housing. For this we remove the Phillips screw (PH # 00) that holds it.
Now we can remove the four Torx screws (T4) that hold the case and also remove the battery.
The screen is attached to the housing by a thin strip of double-sided adhesive, located all around the contour. We will heat the glass to soften the adhesive and peel off easily.
We suggest 2 methods:
With the hot screen, we will introduce a spike between the frame and the screen and we will slide it around the contour to take it off.
We will avoid the areas where the flex cable of the screen is located.
When we finish taking it off, we will slide the flex of the screen through the hole in the frame.
