Step 2 Remove back cover

We will start by removing the back cover, it may seem that it does not, but it has a lid. For this we will use an opening tool, which we will move along the contour of the phone to release the notches that hold it.

Step 3 Remove intermediate housing

To remove this case, first remove the ten Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold it to the chassis. Once the screws are removed, we will use a flat tool to release it.

Step 4 Remove battery

To finish, we will disconnect the battery and then take it off using the plastic tab that comes with this function.

Step 5 Disconnect components

In this step we will disconnect the components to be able to remove the motherboard later. We disconnect the flex from the display, which will detach from the chassis. We will also disconnect the connection flex with the auxiliary plate, the coaxial antenna cable, the rear camera and the digitizer flex.

After this, we will remove the two Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the plate.

Step 6 Remove motherboard and heat screen

After disconnecting the components and removing the screws, we can remove the base plate.

To make it easier to take off the screen, we will heat it up and thus soften the adhesive. In this case we use a thermal mat, in which we will place the screen. We will put the thermostat at 60ºC and leave it half a minute.

Step 7 Take off screen

With the hot screen, we will slide a spike around the contour of the phone, between the screen and the frame, to remove the adhesive. Before removing the screen, we will slide the display flex through the hole in the chassis and advance to the next step.

Step 8 Fullscreen

To be able to slide the digitizer flex through the chassis, it will be necessary to remove the earphone and the shield from it. We will remove the screw that holds the shield and we will disengage both.

Now we can slide the flex and extract the full screen.
