Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 iPhone 6 Plus

Technical characteristics:
Dimensions: 158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 millimeters, 172 grams
Screen: IPS LCD 5.5 inches
Resolution: 1920x1080 pixels (401 ppi)
Processor: Apple A8 (dual-core, 64-bit), PowerVR GX6450 GPU, M8 Coprocessor

Memory: 16/64/128 GB (not expandable)
Software version: iOS 8
Connectivity: LTE Cat 4, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi? Fi ac

Before starting make sure that the iPhone is off.

Step 2 Pentalobe screws

Remove the 2 3.6 mm Pentalobe screws located on both sides of the charging connector.

Step 3 Opening

Use the special tool with suction cups to separate the front panel easily.

Just place the iPhone with the bottom towards the tool and adjust the suction cups.

Then press to separate the front panel.

Step 4

Separate the front panel, leaving the upper part joined by the flex data cables.

Step 5

Remove the metal shield that covers the connectors on the board. It is held by the following Phillips screws:

  • 3 of 1.2mm
  • 1 of 1.5mm
  • 1 of 2.9mm

Step 6

Disconnect the flexes from the front panel on the motherboard.

Step 7

Separate the front panel.

Step 8 Handset

Check if the replacement screen contains the components (camera, headset, home button, ...). If you do not have any of the components, continue with the following steps.

Remove the metal support from the handset, held by 3 Phillips screws:

  • 2 of 2.3 mm
  • 1 of 1.5 mm

Step 9

Separate the front camera with the flex and remove the headset.

Step 10 Flex with front camera, light sensor and microphone

Carefully remove the sensors and the microphone.

Step 11 Home button

Remove the metal support held by 2 Phillips 1.8 mm screws.

Step 12

Unplug the connector and, with the flat part of the plastic spatula, take off the flex.

Step 13

Take off the home button, pressing from the front side.

Step 14 screen

Remove the 8 screws that hold the metal shield.

Step 15

The shield carries a flex that connects to the home button. You must carefully take off the bottom part to separate it.
