Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 iPhone 6 Plus

Technical characteristics:

Before starting make sure that the iPhone is off.

Step 2 Pentalobe screws

Remove the 2 3.6 mm Pentalobe screws located on both sides of the charging connector.

Step 3 Opening

Use the special tool with suction cups to separate the front panel easily.

Just place the iPhone with the bottom towards the tool and adjust the suction cups.

Then press to separate the front panel.

Step 4

Separate the front panel, leaving the upper part joined by the flex data cables.

Step 5

Remove the metal shield that covers the connectors on the board. It is held by the following Phillips screws:

  • 3 of 1.2mm
  • 1 of 1.5mm
  • 1 of 2.9mm

Step 6

Disconnect the flexes from the front panel on the motherboard.

Step 7

Separate the front panel.

Step 8

Remove the metal shield covering the battery connector, held by 2 Phillips screws:

  • 1 of 2,3mm
  • 1 of 3,1mm

Step 9

Disconnect the battery in the motherboard.

Step 10

Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable.

Disconnect and remove the flex from the lower load connector module.

Step 11 Vibrator

Remove the vibrator, held by 2 Phillips screws of 2.5mm.

Step 12 Speaker

Separate the coaxial antenna cable.

Remove the 2 Phillips screws that hold the speaker:

  • 1 of 2.3 mm
  • 1 of 2.8 mm

Step 13

Remove the speaker.

Step 14 Flex with charging connector, audio connector and microphone

Remove the metal shield secured by 2 x 3.3 mm Phillips screws.

Step 15

Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable at the lower end.

Step 16

Remove the Phillips screws to remove the lower flex:

  • 2 of 1.4 mm
  • 2 of 3.2 mm
  • 1 of 3.8 mm
  • 2 of 1.5 mm
  • 2 of 1.7 mm

Heat the opposite side with hot air so that the glue softens and separates easily.

Step 17

Remove the small bracket that holds the microphone.

Step 18

Carefully peel off the flex, starting at the top.

Step 19

Separate finally the microphone and audio connector, since these carry a sticker that guarantees the insulation.
