Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Opening

Before starting make sure that the mobile is off.

Remove the 2 Pentalobe screws on the bottom of the iPhone.

Step 2

For the opening of the iPhone we suggest this tool with suction cups, it is easy to use and will avoid unnecessary damages.

Simply hold the iPhone with the suction cups, just above the "Home" button and press the tool to open it.

Step 3

If you do not have the suction cup tool, you can also do it manually.

Glue a suction cup just above the "Home" button and pull up while holding and prying the joint with the plastic opening tool.

If you pull too hard you can break the flex cable of the fingerprint reader.

Step 4

Remove the metal shield covering the flex connector from the fingerprint reader.

Step 5

Disconnect the flex cable from the fingerprint reader. This will allow you to separate the screen except the upper part, still attached to the base plate by the flex cables.

Step 6 Baseboard connectors

Remove the metal shield covering the connectors, held by 4 Phillips screws.

Step 7 screen

Disconnect the flex cables from the motherboard and separate the screen.

Step 8 Battery

Remove the metal shield covering the battery connector, held by two Phillips screws.

Step 9

Disconnect the battery from the motherboard.

Step 10 Flex inferior.

Disconnect and take off the lower flex.

Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable.

Step 11 Speaker

Remove the 2 Phillips screws that hold the speaker.

Although they are not shown in the photographs, it is NOT necessary to remove the battery or the motherboard in this guide.

Step 12

Remove the speaker with the opening tool.
