Remove the two 3.6mm Pentalobe screws with the appropriate screwdriver.
Make sure the terminal is off.
Step 2 screen
Hold the screen with a suction cup, just above the home button.
With an opening tool, push the chassis down while pulling the suction cup in the opposite direction.
It must do some strength and persist because in this model is quite tight.
Step 3
The screen is still held by the flex cables of the digitizer and display. Handle with care not to damage these cables.
Step 4 Display connectors
Remove the metal shield covering the connectors. It is held by 3 Phillips screws.
Step 5
Disconnect the 3 flex cables and separate the screen.
Step 6 Battery
Remove the metal shield covering the battery connector.
It is held by 2 Phillips screws of 1.8 and 1.6 mm.
Step 7
Disconnect the battery.
Step 8
The battery of this model is stuck and it may not come easily.
Remove it a little earlier, carefully prying it with a plastic tool.
Be careful not to deform the battery as it may damage it.
Step 9
Step 10 SIM card
Insert a pointed object into the small hole to eject the SIM card.
Step 11
Remove the shield covering the connectors.
It is fastened by a 1.2mm Phillips screw.
Step 12 Motherboard connections.
Disconnect the coaxial cable from the lower antenna.
Step 13
Remove the shield secured by two 1.5 and 2.6mm Phillips screws.
Step 14
Release the connector and pull the cable carefully to detach it.
Step 15
With an opening tool disconnect both ends of the interconnecting cables.
Step 16
Remember the position of the cables for when you reconnect them.
Step 17 Base plate screws
The plate is held by:
2 Phillips screws of 2.3mm.
3 standoff screws of 2.7mm. Use a flat screwdriver to remove them.
You must also remove the 2 Phillips 1.3mm screws from the top.
Step 18 Motherboard
Hold the plate at the bottom and separate it from the chassis.
The plate is still held on the other side by the coaxial cable of the wifi antenna.
Step 19
Disconnect the coaxial cable from the wifi antenna to separate the motherboard.
Step 20 Bottom module
Remove the Phillips screws that hold the lower module:
2 screws of 1.5mm
2 screws of 3.3mm
1 screw of 2.9mm
1 screw of 2.8mm
1 screw of 2.5mm
Step 21
Carefully peel off the lower module with a plastic tool. Be sure to move the tool below the flex cable.
Step 22
Pull to detach the lower module.
Step 23 Speaker (buzzer)
Carefully peel off the flex cable that holds the speaker.
