Guide with all the necessary steps so that you can change the touch screen of the Alcatel One Touch Pop C9 yourself.
We will start by removing the back cover. To do this we will introduce a spike between it and the frame to unhook the notches that hold it.
This casing is very well fitted, probably more force than skill is needed. : P
In this step we remove the adhesive that covers the battery and the nine Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the motherboard.
Once we remove the screws we can remove the shields covering the connectors.
Now we will disconnect the components to be able to remove the motherboard. We start by disconnecting the coaxial antenna cable, the battery and the flex from the digitizer.
Now we disconnect the flex from the LCD display and then take off the flex from the side buttons of the phone frame.
To finish, we disengage the vibrator and the rear camera.
We will also have to disconnect the bottom plate of the motherboard. To do this, we will lift the plate as shown in the last two images.
Now we will raise the plate to release it from the notches that hold it.
To remove the screen we will have to remove the rubber that covers the front camera, since it would prevent sliding the digitizer flex through the hole in the frame.
We also recommend removing the battery before heating.
The screen is attached to the chassis by a thin strip of double-sided adhesive, located all around the contour. We will heat the glass to soften the adhesive and peel off easily.
We suggest 2 methods:
With the hot screen, we will introduce a spike between the frame and the screen and we will slide it around the contour to take it off.
We will avoid the upper zone, since there is the flex of the digitizer and we could damage it. In case of doing so, we must make sure not to put the spike between the flex and the window.
If you have not used the pick on the top, we can heat that part and lift the screen carefully to take it off. Next, we will slide the digitizer flex through the hole in the frame.
