Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 SIM card

Make sure the computer is turned off before you start.

Eject the SIM card by pressing it until you hear "click".

Step 2 Back cover

Remove the Phillips screw located next to the USB charging connector.

Step 3

Separate the cover little by little with a prong all around.

Step 4

Remove the back cover.

Step 5 Rear camera

To remove the rear camera, disconnect it from the motherboard and pull it out gently.

Step 6 Motherboard

Remove the metal shield covering the connectors.

Step 7

Disconnect the data cable from the display. Remove the Phillips screw that is underneath.

Step 8

Disconnect the coaxial cable.

Step 9

Disconnect the flex cable from side keys.

Step 10

Pull the plate away from the top to gain access to the connectors.

Step 11

Remove the protective plastic and disconnect the battery cable.

Step 12

Disconnect the connector on the bottom flex to separate the base plate.

Step 13 Antenna module and proximity sensor.

Unplug the flex from the motherboard by pulling on the tab of the connector and pulling gently.

Step 14

Peel off the sensor and pull the antenna module to detach it from the motherboard.

Step 15 Proximity sensor

Separate the flex with the proximity sensor of the antenna module.
