Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 Prestigio Multipad Viscount

Characteristics:
  • Screen of 10.1 "1280 x 800 pixels with LED technology
  • 32 GB storage capacity
  • 2 GB RAM
  • Intel Celeron Dual-Core processor at 1.46 GHz
  • Operating system: Windows 8.1
  • WiFi connection

Before starting, make sure the tablet is off.

Step 2 Back cover

To open the tablet, the metal back cover is separated.

We use a suction cup to hold the screen and with the wide part of the opening tool, we separate the back cover.

Step 3

Slowly, separate the entire contour until the lid is disassembled. You will hear several "clicks" as the plastic hooks are released.

Step 4 Left speaker

If you want to change the right speaker only, you can do it without dismantling anything else. The left speaker, however, is clamped below the motherboard. This complicates it a bit since it forces us to separate the motherboard.

To remove the left speaker, remove the 2 Phillips screws and remove it from the plastic chassis.

Step 5

You can protect nearby components before desoldering with some Kapton tape.

Step 6

Unsolder the speaker terminals on the motherboard. To do this, simply apply heat to the tin with the tip of the soldering iron and gently pull the wire.

Use the desoldering mesh to clean the remains of tin on the motherboard.

Step 7 Right speaker

The right speaker is held by 2 Phillips screws, but we will have to separate the motherboard to take off the speaker.

Remove the 5 Phillips screws from the motherboard and the one holding the internal storage module.

Step 8 Baseboard connectors

Disconnect the battery cables, bottom flex and coaxial antenna on the motherboard.

Step 9

Disconnect the LCD data flex and remove the internal storage module.

Step 10

By separating the motherboard, the speaker can now take off.

Step 11

Finally, we desoldamos the right speaker, as we did on the left.
