Tutorial: Step by step

Step 1 We take off the screen

To start we must apply heat to the screen, for this we have used a thermal mat, and we have taken off all the edges of the screen with a plastic pick, and when we have already been able to lift the screen, we have verified that both in the upper part and in the lower one, the screen is connected to the motherboard by means of several flexes.

Step 2 screen

We remove all the Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the various shields that cover the connectors of the screen, and with the help of a flat-tip tool we will disconnect them.

Step 3 We disconnect battery

We remove the Phillips screw (PH # 00) that is in the battery connector, and with the help of a plastic pick we will lift the contacts a little, in order to work with greater security.

Step 4 Motherboard sticker

We peel off the adhesive that covers the motherboard.

Step 5 Lower zone components

We disconnect all the components from the lower area.

Step 6 Coaxial and speakers

We disconnect all coaxial cables and speakers.

Step 7 Frontal camera

We disconnect the connectors from the front camera module.

Step 8 Rear cameras

We disconnect all the components that are connected to the motherboard in the area of the rear cameras, and we will also remove these cameras.

Step 9 Microphone and accessory contacts connectors

We remove the shield that covers the connectors, and disconnect both connectors.

Step 10 Base plate

We remove the four Phillips screws (PH # 00) that hold the motherboard, and we to inject the adhesive that holds the motherboard, we have injected a couple of drops of isopropyl alcohol along the motherboard, and then with the help we have detached it from a tool thin enough.

Step 11 Battery

To take off the battery we have taken advantage of the adhesive strips available.

Step 12 Microphone

And finally we only have to take off the damaged microphone that we have to replace.
