Step 2 Back cover

Remove the back cover with a plastic opening tool, starting from the slot located in one of the corners.

Step 3 Battery

Remove the battery by pulling on the bottom.

Step 4 SIM and SD cards

Remove the SIM and SD cards.

Step 5 Intermediate housing

Remove the 11 Phillips screws (PH # 00).

Separate the intermediate housing, unhooking the contour with an opening tool.

Step 6 Motherboard

Remove the pieces of tape covering the connectors on the motherboard.

Step 7

Unplug the data flexes from the screen on the motherboard. To do this, press the tab of each of the connectors and gently pull the flexes.

Step 8

Disconnect the flex from the front camera on the motherboard.

Take off the volume and ignition pushbuttons.

Step 9 Motherboard

Separate the base plate next to the vibrator and microphone that are located at the bottom.

Step 10 Touch screen

The touch screen is attached to the plastic frame with a strip of double-sided adhesive that runs along the contour.

We will heat the surface of the screen to soften the adhesive and peel off easily.

In this guide we use the Hot Glass, a heating pad to insert in the microwave (see instructions) and once hot, apply on the surface of the screen.

Step 11

With the hot screen, insert a prong, or other plastic tool, between the glass and the plastic frame.

Traverse the contour with the prong to detach the screen.

Avoid the upper part, where the data flex is located since you can cut it with the pick.

Step 12

Lastly, separate the upper part, passing the data flex through the corresponding slot.

Apply heat as many times as necessary to remove it easily.

Step 13 Display

Separate the display from the chassis, levering very gently with a pick or other fine plastic tool.

Step 14

Warm the chassis the necessary times to take off the display with ease.
