Remove the 2 Pentalobe screws that secure the front panel to the housing.

Step 4 Panel frontal

In this model, unlike its predecessors, the opening suction cups are not going to be as useful, as it has a small strip of adhesive to ensure the tightness of the equipment.

Step 5

Instead, we will use a suction cup and while we pull the screen, we review the outline with the flat part of the plastic stick.

Little by little, starting from the bottom, we will take off the front panel.

Step 6 Screws

Remove the metal cover that covers the connections of the screen held by 4 Phillips screws ..

Step 7 screen

Unplug the flexes on the motherboard to separate the screen.

Step 8 Bottom connectors

Remove the metal shield covering the connections, secured by 2 Phillips screws.

Unplug the battery connector.

Step 9 Battery

To remove the battery we have to remove the stickers that are underneath. Pull the adhesive protruding from the bottom of the battery and pull it to the side. Continue until it is completely removed and repeat with the other side.

To install a new battery you will need to replace the adhesive.

Step 13 Motherboard connections

Disconnect the lower flex, the two ends of the coaxial cable and the upper flex.

Step 14

Remove the screws that hold the base plate.

One of the screws has a hexagonal thread. As it is not usual to have heads for this type of screws we will unscrew it with the head that appears in the photo, although small pliers would also be worth.

Step 15 Motherboard

Use antistatic protection if you are going to handle the plate with your hands.

Remove the motherboard.

Unhook the coaxial cable from the side of the plate by pulling gently.

Step 16 Side keys

Remove the screws that secure the metal brackets.

Step 17
